2. Connector Pin-Out and Interfaces#
The surface velocity radar is equipped with a robust IP68-rated circular M12 connector with 12 pins. The mating cable is supplied with the instrument. All communication and output interfaces are available on every model. These include RS-232, RS-485, SDI-12, and analog 4–20 mA. All interfaces can operate simultaneously, allowing parallel communication and data output. The exception is when the device is configured to operate in automatic SDI-12 sleep mode, when the other interfaces will be disabled, and only SDI-12 will be active.
