5. Data Protocols

The Geolux VX60 Surface Velocity Radar supports the following communication protocols:

• NMEA-like protocol (RS-232). Continuously outputs measured surface velocity, reflected signal strength, current tilt angle, and device temperature and relative humidity.

• Service protocol (RS-232). Used for instrument configuration and maintenance.

• Modbus RTU (RS-485). An industrial standard, supported by a wide range of third-party data loggers and control systems.

• SDI-12 protocol. Available for integration with SDI-12 compatible data loggers.
